My name is Noor Ahmed, and I am from Jhal Magsi, Balochistan.
In 2016, I started my journey on YouTube. I created my first Gmail account and opened a YouTube channel at the same time. At that point, I did not know that Gmail is actually a passport to the world of the internet.
After opening YouTube, I started watching videos, mainly for application-related information, checking who was saying what. I had no idea what YouTube really was. I did not understand how monetization works or how people earn money.
In 2017, a personal incident happened that caused me to leave my hometown, Jhal Magsi, and move to Quetta. Even after moving, I still used YouTube only to gather information and did not know that one could earn from uploading videos.
I had a video that was similar to TikTok, and I uploaded it randomly without knowing the difference between short videos and long videos.
Then, in 2018, I saw a video on YouTube showing a cup as a reward, packed in a box, without any YouTube logo. I did not understand what it actually meant. I also did not know what monetization is.
One day, I had subscribed to several channels, and I noticed one channel talking about an app that could show CNIC numbers by typing a mobile number. I tried downloading and using the app with my number, but it did not work. I realized it was fake.
At that moment, I thought to myself that I could also make a video to show that this app is fake. I did not have any passion for video creation yet, nor did I have the intention to become a YouTuber.
